Rank Advancement Trail
Cub Scouting provides Scouts with recognition for the experiences they take part in and the work they do in Scouting activities. The most important awards are the rank badges, which are worn on the left pocket.
Bobcat
The Bobcat badge is the first badge every Scout earns that introduces them to Scouting.
Tiger Cubs
The Tiger Cub badge is earned by boys in first grade, and encourages them to participate in Scouting with a parent or partner.
Wolf
This badge is earned by Scouts in second grade after earning the Bobcat badge.
Bear
The Bear badge is earned by Scouts in third grade after earning the Bobcat badge.
Webelos
The Webelos badge prepares the scouts for the transition to Boy Scouts.
